Facial Mask Reviews: Freeman & Montagne Jeunesse

Facial Masks
*This is a scheduled post, as I'm away for two weeks for Army training. Click here for more info*

Hey beauties! Today, I'll be reviewing the Freeman Avocado & Oatmeal Facial Clay Mask as well as the Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Anti-Stress Mud Masque. I hauled these amazings last month in a drugstore/walmart haul. After checking Walgreen's  I didn't want any of their masks(my local store didn't have these) so I went to Walmart and went directly to these babies!

They are samples sizes and I got a good two uses out of each package. I'm a sucker for hair & beauty samples, no need to waste money on a full size product I might not like. Overall, I had a pretty good experience with both of them. Now that I've tried them, I feel like I need to use one at least once a week.

(After photo) I managed to squeeze this sucker dry(literally)!

I applied it evenly to my face avoiding lips, eyes and hair while already in the bathtub. I applied it faithfully to my nose area where I get clogged pores and tiny comedones(UGH!). I let it sit and dry for about 20 mins. It started to crackle a bit so I rubbed the top layers away with my hands and massaged the rest off with a wet towel. I'd like to purchase the full size of the Freeman mask.  I've ran out so I'll be getting that full size asap.

Pros:
Got rid of ALOT of comedones, dry patches and red spots.
Totally rejuvenated my skin.

Cons:
Left my skin tight and mildly dry.
Difficult to remove without a wet towel.

Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Anti-Stress Mud Masque
I realized I had a teeny bit of this left!

Why did I buy this mask? Because it was blue and I really wanted a mask like the one's that females put on at sleepovers. It's actually a pore cleaning mask that also relieves stress. I applied it pretty much the same way I did the Freeman mask. This one was alot easier and creamier to apply than the Freeman mask as well as easier to remove. Once I removed it, there wasn't any physical difference, reason being (I think) the Freeman mask had already did most of the work the previous week but my skin felt amazing.

Pros:
My skin felt super clean
Left my face feeling soo freaking soft
Didn't dry my face out

Cons: No visible results

You can buy both of these brands, including their other types of masks at most major retailer like Walmart, Ulta, Boots, Superdrug and Amazon. Both brands' sample sizes are around $1.99/£1.00. From what I can tell the Montagne masks are only available in this size. The full size Freeman masks are around $3.99/£4.30.

Will you be trying out one of these masks? If you enjoyed this post or found it helpful, please share it in the top left of this post and feel to free to follow in the right sidebar!

Monochrome Theme Makeup

Orange monochrome makeup look

*This is a scheduled post, as I'm away for two weeks for Army training. Click here for more info*

Hey beauties! Every week the lovely Aqeela hosts a weekly makeup tag. This week's look was monochrome. Monochrome makeup consists of one color. It doesn't have to be the exact same color but the same basic color on lips, eyes, cheeks..etc. At first I wanted to use the color pink, but I thought it'd be more fun to use orange! I hope you like it <3

Talkative Tuesday: My Makeup & Brush Storage

*This is a scheduled post, as I'm away for two weeks for Army training. Click here for more info*

Happy Tuesday! I decided to show you how I store my makeup and brushes. I couldn't do a full on makeup and brush collection because a lot of my makeup, palettes and brushes are packed for my trip. My storage is pretty simple for the most part. I don't have tons of makeup so this system fits me well. I want to later invest in one unit with several drawers for my collection.

makeup and brush storage

The clear drawers are by sterilite and can be found pretty much anywhere like Target, Walmart or dollar stores.

The metal mesh file holder for my palettes is from a thrift store but I've seen identical ones at super stores or office supply stores.

Three of the larger brush holders are actually *cough* crown royal glasses *cough* that my brother gave to me to use as brush holders. The smaller glass (middle) is from Michael's. I also bought the small vase filler beads from michael's to help stand up my brushes. Both of those can be found at any craft store.

The printed box along with two other different printed boxes were a gift from my lovely girlfriend and I use this one to hold bracelets. The jewelry dress is from a dollar store I believe. That adorable little hot pink kabuki brush is from Sally's for $0.99 (by the register). I bought it and a few other brushes to use for decoration because they all have hot pink bristles and black handles.

If you have a makeup storage post, leave a link below so I can check it out <3

Kiwi Theme Makeup

Hey beauties! Every week, the lovely Aqeela hosts a makeup tag. This week's theme is Kiwi! Kiwi is a delicious fruit with edible seeds. The outside is brown and the inside is a beautiful shade of green so I decided to accent my green eyeshadow with brown liner and dots.

I had fun creating this look. Doing these tags really help me learn what I need to improve on. Plus it gives me a reason to post pictures of myself which is something I rarely do here. Yes, I know my eyebrows are screaming to be waxed right?

Eyes:

MAC Eyeshadow: Ricepaper Review, Photos, Swatches

mac ricepaper eyeshadow

Hey beauties! Today I'm reviewing a MAC permanent eyeshadow in the shade Ricepaper. It's a pretty much known fact that Ricepaper is one of those perfect highlight(brow and tear duct) colors for medium-dark skin tones and a great lid color for lighter tones. Needless to say, I've been eyeing it for awhile. I actually have it on my $1000 wishlist tag so now I can check it off the list!

I wasn't disappointed with the shade at all. Ricepaper is a light, champagne frost eyeshadow. It has a very fine shimmer to it. The pigmentation is gorgeous with pretty good staying power with no fallout. It's applies really smoothly. I'd say it's another staple color you need in your MAC neutral palette.

Do you or would you like to own Ricepaper?

Cruella Deville Theme Makeup

This week was my first week participating in a weekly makeup challenge hosted by the lovely Aqueela! This week's tag makeup tag is Cruella Deville.

I'm so freaking creative.. in my head. When it comes to actually implementing my mental creations: Fail.  I'd like to be a glam makeup artist and leave the special effects to those who can actually draw with makeup lol because that is not my forte. But hey, if I want to be a successful makeup artist: practice makes perfect. So without further ado, here's my look.

I used 3 products for the entire look, including Lips/Liners/Eyebrows

BH Cosmetics Jumbo Eye Pencils: Milk & Black Bean
MAC Cosmetics Lipstick: RiRi Woo

Bath & Body Works + Victoria's Secret Product Collection!

Bath and body works victoria secret
Hey beauties! Over the weekend I went into Victoria's Secret and Bath & Body Works with a friend. She was super excited to stock up on a few of her favorite scents. Normally I'd be all over the two stores, but this time I just scoped out the newest scents. I didn't even take part in the Semi-Annual Sale. I just decided I didn't need anymore body products from the brands. Last year, I  went crazy in the two stores and piled even more products into the collection that I didn't need. So I'm pretty much on a buying strike, something similar to Project Pan. I've been trying to use up all of my products lately and it's going pretty well. I should've saved all of my bottle empties to show you guys but I'll start that from now on. Without further ado, here's the collection <3

Jordana Retractable Eye Liners Review, Photos, Swatches

Jordana Retractable Liners

Hello beauties <3 I recently picked up 3 more eyeliners from Jordana which I hauled a few weeks ago. I really loved the shade Bliss so I went back for more. The thing I love most about these babies is their pigmentation or is it their price? Okay TWO things.

In my local Walgreens there weren't many shades to choose from so I went with the boldest shades. There was one more,..., but I didn't care for it..sort of a sewage green ugh. Bliss, Mint and Purple fusion are Jordana EasyLiners for Eyes. Rock on Silver is a Jordana Glitter Rocks EyeLiner.

*No edits done to photos*(Bottom photo came out too dark but notice the pigmentation and glitter with Rock on Silver that didn't show in top photo.)

Pros: Glides on, great pigmentation

Cons: Needs a primer or powder when used on the waterline

Where to purchase: Walgreens, $2.99
