BH Cosmetics Rose Blush Duo Review

Hey Beauties! I'm really starting to get into blushes, not just pinks but also the browns and corals. I purchased my first blush from BH Cosmetics and I don't know if I like the blush or the highlight that comes with it better. They are so freaking gorgeous!!

Review: BH Cosmetics 10 Color Camouflage Concealer Palette

I've tried other concealers, but this my first concealer palette. Even though I'm a huge fan of BH Cosmetics eye shadow palettes, I was indecisive about purchasing this palette for awhile because of the price being extremely affordable. I wanted it to be good quality regardless of the inexpensive price. As an aspiring makeup up artist, I was pretty excited about all the different shades in the palette. I'm actually impressed with the quality of the concealers. The only con I have so far is that I wish there was a light green concealer; then it'd be perfect!

Color Ranges

The colors range from lightest to darkest tones with a few pink/salmon shades perfect for hiding blues such as under eye circles and veins. All of the shades are pretty creamy which is perfect especially for mixing to achieve your perfect shade. You want to make sure you set it with a powder whether it be translucent or a skin-tone shade powder. They're creamy without being too oily; just perfect for dry, oily or combination skin.

Even if you're not an MUA, you could probably find atleast 3 of these shades that could be useful.

1. Skin tone- Cover blemishes
2. Lighter than your skin- highlighting & hiding dark circles
3. Darker than your skin tone- Contouring and adding warmth to your face

I'd suggest, sanitizing your hands first, using your finger to apply the product. This will warm it up, make it easier to blend out and ensure you can get into your tricky spots.  Of course if you're using it on several clients, you'd like to use stainless steel products with the palette. Overall, I'm really impressed and I'm glad I purchased this palette!

What's your go-to concealer these days?

Review: BH Cosmetics Take me to Brazil Eyeshadow Palette

I love writing reviews. I think they're a great way to start off the week. I purchased this palette literally four days ago and it arrived today. Is that amazing shipping or what? BH Cosmetics orders used to take 7-10 days to arrive to my house, so A+ for BH Cosmetics. If you've been around my blog for more than a month, you know I've been faithful to this brand since 2010.

On to the Review
Wow, was my first impression. If you know me, you know I am a colorful girl and that's exactly what this palette is. Inspired by Brazil's most famous carnival, there are 28 vivid colors; excluding the two black and white shadows making this a one-of-a-kind 30 color palette.

What makes this palette different is..
  • Gorgeous artwork actually on the palette opposed to the usual artwork on the outside box while the palette packaging itself is plain black.
  • Has a fair share of both shimmer and matte shades.
  • Contains not just the vivids; but a large black and iridescent white perfect for highlighting, lining and creating a smokey eye.
I was definitely not disappointed with this palette, as usual with BH Cosmetics. Some of the shadows are slightly chalky making them easily blendable. I got minimal fall out which was one of the cons I had about BH Cosmetics eyeshadows. I'd give an A+.

Swatches
When I swatched with my fingertaps, the color payoff was amazing. Except, it dawned on me swatching fingertaps only work on a video. Nonetheless, the color payoff on the back of my hand was still pretty good. I can just see how well the colors will pop when used with a white base--ahh!

Review: BH Cosmetics 88 Color Palette-Neutral Eyeshadow

Happy Monday to all of you beauties reading! I'm so happy to be writing reviews again. I've had the BH Cosmetics 88 Neutral Palette for awhile, not one I thought I'd ever purchase seeing that I'm more of a colorful gal.

The BH Cosmetics 88 Neutral Palette comes with, of course, 88 shades perfect for a beautiful subtle eye look. Back in 2010 when I first started purchasing BH Cosmetics palettes, they didn't come with an applicator or a mirror. As you can see this one comes with both, making our travel case packing list a little shorter.

The colors in the palette are gorgeous with good pigmentation as with all BH Cosmetics palettes, which I'm a huge fan of. Some of the shadows do have fallout when used without an eyeshadow base. To prevent this, just make sure to tap your brush to remove the excess shadow.

The palette doesn't just have your neutral brown tones. The palette comes with a few pink, orange, green and purple tones..all subtle shades of course.

Overall, I'm really pleased with the palette. I'd also purchase it for some of my (less colorful) family members as a Christmas or birthday gift. Purchase the 88 Color Neutral Palette Here for 45% off!

BH Cosmetics 'Wild Purple' brush Set Review

BH Cosmetics 'Wild Purple' brush Set
I first discovered BH Cosmetics in 2010 while I was in search for a 120 palette. When I first arrived on the site all they sold were a few palettes. No editions, liners, foundation, blush nothing. I was highly impressed with the 120palette-2nd edition mainly for the pigment quality and the different shades(like red).

I bought this brush set along with other a few other items about a month ago. I had never tried any other products besides the 120palette from BH Cosmetics so I just wanted to get a feel of a few of their new products. In that order I received my brush set, party girl palette, 88 neutral palette(gift for my neutral-loving mama), two gel eyeliners- atlantic & burn, and two lip pencils-fuschia & raspberry and the duo-fibre stippling brush. I will review the other products if you ask.

I was very pleased with my order-delivery, packaging and products. The brush set retails at $29.95 but realize I've never seen the set on sale for more that $18. Normally it's on sale from $10-$15. I believed I paid $9. It comes in a nice faux leather case that rolls up nicely without damaging the brushes with a tie. All of the brushes are soft and dense. I've washed them several times and seen absolutely no shedding. The handles are also quite secure. In my opinion, they pick up and hold the product very well.

What I don't like about the brushes is that they are not labeled or numbered, in which i know a lot of brushes aren't labeled but there are about 3 or 4 brushes that look nearly identical and while we know the difference, I feel like a beginner wouldn't be able to identify which was which. The blending brush does not look like your conventional blending brush instead looks like a normal eyeshadow brush. The set comes with 3 eyeshadow brushes, one being the sponge (not pictured below) and 2 VERY identical brushes, while one is called flat eyeshadow and the other small flat eyeshadow. Mind you there is no size difference. The smudge brush also had the density and length of a blending brush and works perfectly as such.

The brush set includes:

Precision Eyeliner Brush.Lip & Concealer Brush.
Angled Eyeliner Brush.

Flat Eyeshadow Brush. Blending Brush.
(Small?) Flat Eyeshadow Brush.
Smudge Brush. Angled Blending Brush.

Lash/Brow

Dual-Sided Brow Brush and Lash Comb. Spoolie Brush.

Face
Skinny Fan Brush. Angled Blush Brush. Highlighter Brush. Powder Brush.

Overall I'd say this buy was a PLUS! I hope you learned more about this product from my review! Until next time..stay beautiful, Keshia Glam <3
