Wet n Wild: Bright Summer Lipsticks

We all know I'm a huge sucker for bright, colorful makeup year-round but Spring and Summer sort of give me more of an excuse to wear bold lipstick colors. I remember the days when we would have to go to an high-end brand to purchase good quality, fun lipstick colors but now tons of drugstore or highstreet brands have them.

Today (by the title) I'm focusing on three beautiful shades I purchased from Wet n Wild-- my all time favorite drugstore (and one of the most affordable) makeup brand. I could never replace my favorite bright MAC lipstick shades like Sounds Like Noise, Viva Glam Nicki or Candy Yum Yum; but one can never have too much makeup right?

Wet n Wild lipsticks usually range between $0.99 and $1.99 which is crazy for the quality of their lip colors! I actually erm..ran over my all time favorite Wet N Wild lippie (Dollhouse Pink) which was and is always sold out everywhere..*sigh*.

Anyways, Let's see these swatches!

These lippies are smooth to apply and they have nice durability. It's also nice that they're buildable-so you can have a nice wash of color or go for more of an opaque finish. What do you guys think; would you wear these lip colors?

Full Review: Elf Eyebrow Kit

elf eyebrow kit dark
Here lately I've been pretty obsessed with my brows. I like trying new brow products, a lot of which is because I change my hair color so often that I don't have a choice. I can take a picture everyday and you would easily notice how my brows change.

I've heard a ton of good things about this eyebrow kit so hey I tried it! My review is kind of hit and miss at the same time. I honestly believe it really depends on how you like to wear your brows.

Beauty on a Budget Review: Wet n Wild Creme Eyeliner

wet n wild creme eyeliner

I've heard so many good things about this liner, from notable sources might I add. I contemplated purchasing it for about a month. I'm actually really glad I gave it a shot.

I purchased this from CVS, that's right CVS instead of Walgreens. I bought mine for $3.99! I felt almost guilty for doing so lol. The little container on this baby is so adorable. Of course it comes with a little angled brush, which is decent but I still prefer my BH Cosmetics Angled Brush.

The consisentency is alot creamier than most cream formulas I've tried. I just barely put the brush in and picked up a decent amount of product without having to diggg my way into the jar. The payoff is very black, which I love. I believe I've found my holy-grail eyeliner.

Facial Mask Reviews: Freeman & Montagne Jeunesse

Facial Masks
*This is a scheduled post, as I'm away for two weeks for Army training. Click here for more info*

Hey beauties! Today, I'll be reviewing the Freeman Avocado & Oatmeal Facial Clay Mask as well as the Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Anti-Stress Mud Masque. I hauled these amazings last month in a drugstore/walmart haul. After checking Walgreen's  I didn't want any of their masks(my local store didn't have these) so I went to Walmart and went directly to these babies!

They are samples sizes and I got a good two uses out of each package. I'm a sucker for hair & beauty samples, no need to waste money on a full size product I might not like. Overall, I had a pretty good experience with both of them. Now that I've tried them, I feel like I need to use one at least once a week.

(After photo) I managed to squeeze this sucker dry(literally)!

I applied it evenly to my face avoiding lips, eyes and hair while already in the bathtub. I applied it faithfully to my nose area where I get clogged pores and tiny comedones(UGH!). I let it sit and dry for about 20 mins. It started to crackle a bit so I rubbed the top layers away with my hands and massaged the rest off with a wet towel. I'd like to purchase the full size of the Freeman mask.  I've ran out so I'll be getting that full size asap.

Pros:
Got rid of ALOT of comedones, dry patches and red spots.
Totally rejuvenated my skin.

Cons:
Left my skin tight and mildly dry.
Difficult to remove without a wet towel.

Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Anti-Stress Mud Masque
I realized I had a teeny bit of this left!

Why did I buy this mask? Because it was blue and I really wanted a mask like the one's that females put on at sleepovers. It's actually a pore cleaning mask that also relieves stress. I applied it pretty much the same way I did the Freeman mask. This one was alot easier and creamier to apply than the Freeman mask as well as easier to remove. Once I removed it, there wasn't any physical difference, reason being (I think) the Freeman mask had already did most of the work the previous week but my skin felt amazing.

Pros:
My skin felt super clean
Left my face feeling soo freaking soft
Didn't dry my face out

Cons: No visible results

You can buy both of these brands, including their other types of masks at most major retailer like Walmart, Ulta, Boots, Superdrug and Amazon. Both brands' sample sizes are around $1.99/£1.00. From what I can tell the Montagne masks are only available in this size. The full size Freeman masks are around $3.99/£4.30.

Will you be trying out one of these masks? If you enjoyed this post or found it helpful, please share it in the top left of this post and feel to free to follow in the right sidebar!

Jordana Retractable Eye Liners Review, Photos, Swatches

Jordana Retractable Liners

Hello beauties <3 I recently picked up 3 more eyeliners from Jordana which I hauled a few weeks ago. I really loved the shade Bliss so I went back for more. The thing I love most about these babies is their pigmentation or is it their price? Okay TWO things.

In my local Walgreens there weren't many shades to choose from so I went with the boldest shades. There was one more,..., but I didn't care for it..sort of a sewage green ugh. Bliss, Mint and Purple fusion are Jordana EasyLiners for Eyes. Rock on Silver is a Jordana Glitter Rocks EyeLiner.

*No edits done to photos*(Bottom photo came out too dark but notice the pigmentation and glitter with Rock on Silver that didn't show in top photo.)

Pros: Glides on, great pigmentation

Cons: Needs a primer or powder when used on the waterline

Where to purchase: Walgreens, $2.99

Drugstore Haulin' ft Wet n Wild, Jordana, and Maybelline!

Drugstore Haul

Hey beauties! I'm back with another drugstore haul. I haven't hauled in a couple of months. You'll most likely see more drugstore hauls than any other haul. I love my MAC, Urban Decay and Too Faced but since they are pricier (I won't say expensive), I can only get a few items at a time which isn't a very entertaining haul. I prefer to buy often than to save and get a bunch of products all at once so that's something I'll be working on. *I purchased all products with my own money*

Without further ado, here's my latest haul:

Maybelline Color Tattoo "Bad to the Bronze"
Broadway Lashes: 57113 Flirty
Aussie Aussome Volume Hairspray

Wet n Wild Color Icon Trio: I Dream of Greenie Photos, Review, Swatches

Wet N Wild Eyeshadow Trio

Wet n Wild says: Coordinating trio shades takes the guesswork out of creating the perfect eye look. The "how to" palettes are created to highlight, define, and accentuate specific eye colors to create unique looks.

I own 2 out of 12 trios from the color icon trio collection the other one being "Knock On Wood". Colorful drugstore eye shadows don't really interest me but once again I was in Walgreens and I snooped my way to the makeup just because I saw a lot of tags hanging down from products. With that being said my Walgreens is having a great sale on random products and this trio is one of them. I don't know if every location is doing this but a lot of items are marked down by several dollars. The trio's were a dollar off so I just decided to give this a shot.

Price: $3.00 Walgreens

Wet N Wild Eyeshadow Trio Wet N Wild Eyeshadow Trio

The trio contains a lid color, crease and brow bone color. The lid color is a gorgeous chartreuse, crease is more of a greenish teal and the brow color is pearl with a bit of green shimmer. I was satisfied with the colors except the brow bone shows no hint of green on skin so it appears white..which makes it pretty much useless in the trio.

The colors are more pigmentated then you'd expect. The crease color shows up the best. The shadows are pretty shimmery and there's a bit of fall out. To decrease fall out, use a primer and tap brush to remove excess shadow. A primer is completely necessary unless you want to literally dig into the shadows multiple times.

Would I repurchase? Yes, I'd like to own a few more of these trio's. They're fun, compact and really easy to use!

Wet N Wild Megalast Liquid Lip Color Review, Photos & Swatches

I'm becoming a major fan of Wet N Wild lip products lately. I purchased the Mega Last Liquid Lip Color at my local drugstore. I thought it was a gloss so I had no idea what I was getting myself into. As it turns out, I purchased a lip stain or liquid lipstick.

The product glides on pretty smoothly and moisturizing BUT it dries on your lips. It feels strange and dry on your lips but you'll notice your lips aren't actually dry. The lippy does leave a bit of shine despite it's matte finish.

Beauty on a Budget Review: LA Colors Jumbo Eye Pencils

I recently saw a post from a fellow blogger +Dana Tanksley over at LuvSickBeauty on L.A. Colors jumbo pencils and I decided to finally check them out as a part of my Beauty on a Budget series. I'm a huge fan of the NYX Jumbo Eye pencils so I just had to try out these babies. I went to a few of my local family dollars and I found only 4 different shades. *sigh*

I hauled these in my last haul (link below). I went on a mini rant about how much I loathe LA Colors but was going to give a few of their items a chance so the LA Colors Jumbo Eye Pencils are up first.

Beauty on a Budget: Drugstore/Dollar Store Haul!

The past week I've been going to drugstores and dollar stores just to pick up odds and ends. I didn't actually go for anything makeup related but we all know how that turns out. I ended up picking up stuff that caught my eye. I figured hey this'll make a good post for my new beauty on a budget series! I'll be doing separate reviews with swatches on most of these products as I've tried all of them already.
In my last beauty on a budget post I stated how much I loathed L.A. Colors makeup but was going to give a few products from the brand a shot so I picked up a few items along with my usuals, Wet N Wild & NYC. I also bought my first Jordana product.

Dollar Store..makeup?!? {Beauty On A Budget Vol.1)

I decided to start a series called Beauty on a Budget. I'll be reviewing and swatching sharing my tips for shopping at different businesses with the best discounted/cheaper makeup. This will be my first post in the series, which is an introduction and my dollar store lipstick collection!

Everyone wants the look for less. We all want to have the best quality products, for a cheaper price. If you've read my About Me, you know that I live in a rural area. Where I live, two dollar stores are pretty much what I have to work with if I need anything, without driving to the city. So most of my shopping is done online.
Whenever I go to the dollar store for odds and ends, I always mozy on to the beauty products scouting for certain products. Like NYC/Wet n Wild lip products, eyeliners, E.L.F. products, L'oreal foundation, CoverGirl blushes and Garnier products. If I see something, I buy it and feel completely guilt-free.
Besides the decent, more reputable brands like Covergirl, L'oreal, and Maybelline a lot of women are afraid to to waste money on the lower ends cosmetics like L.A. Colors, Wet N Wild, NYC and no-brand cosmetics. When you buy reputable brands from a dollar store, it's indeed the same exact product you'd get if you were to buy it at Walmart. Except of course, it's cheaper. I can admit if the brand isn't reputable or one of a couple of other brands, I don't give it a shot. I've tried one palette from LA Colors, it was cheap and horrible. So now, I don't even consider buying anything from the brand; but lately, I've been hearing about LA Colors stepping their game up especially with the glitter liners and nail polishes.

OKAY enough talking on, you just want to see the products right? All of the lipsticks are $0.99 to $2.00 and are sold at Dollar General or Family dollar, but not exclusively. I do own high end lipsticks but like I said, Beauty on a Budget ladies! These lipsticks have good pigmentation, longevity and don't dry my lips out..that's what we want right?

First, we have the pinks.
