REVIEW:14-Day Skinny Teatox

skinny teatox review photos taste

I recently had a chance to try something that I've had my eye on for months--detox tea! I received the 14-Day Teatox from Skinny Teatox for the purpose of reviewing. I was super excited to try it out and so far I'm not disappointed. Skinny Teatox isn't a miracle formula but it is designed to boost your metabolism, cleanse and detoxify, increase energy levels and suppress your appetite. I don't expect to lose pounds of weight, maybe a bit of water weight; but I'd just like for this tea to help me get on track with my appetite.

"All the ingredients in Skinny Teatox are 100% natural. There are no chemicals or preservatives. Ingredients include: tea leaves, senna leaf, ginseng, chrysanthemum, cinnamon bark, cloves, rhubarb, ginger, and more." -Skinny Teatox

The 14-Day program I was sent includes an info pamphlet, 14-day supply of the loose-leaf morning tea (pictured above), 7-day supply of night teabags which are to be drunk every other night, and a strawberry filter (which I love).

I'm currently on Day 7 of the Skinny Teatox program and I'll be posting my final results on my social accounts (links below). So far I do have more energy, less of an appetite and I feel less bloated than I did before starting the program which is exactly what I wanted from the program.

I won't say that the morning tea tastes delicious, but it doesn't taste awful. It definitely tastes better than the night tea, a mild laxative detox that has had no effect on me so far. The night tea contains no caffeine, so it won't interrupt your sleeping habits.

I will be updating more about Skinny Teatox on my social accounts, so check those out if you're interested xx

Have you tried any of the ever-growing list of detox teas?

Review: Sigma F80 Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki Brush

Sigma F80 Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki Brush

I recently purchased Sigma's F80 brush after I'd been eyeing it for almost a year. I'm pretty pleased with my purchase and wish I'd purchased it sooner!

BH Cosmetics Rose Blush Duo Review

Hey Beauties! I'm really starting to get into blushes, not just pinks but also the browns and corals. I purchased my first blush from BH Cosmetics and I don't know if I like the blush or the highlight that comes with it better. They are so freaking gorgeous!!

Review: Sigma E-45 Small Tapered Blending Brush

sigma e45 brush mac 226 dupe

Sigma's E45 small tapered blending brush is of course for blending. What makes this brush a little different from alot of other tapered blending brushes is it's pointy tip, making crease-work easier. It's pointy little tip allows you to get into those little spots with more precision. It's fluffiness still allows you to blend effortlessly.

sigma e45 brush mac 226 dupe

How-to use: Pick up color with just the tip and apply to crease to add depth and dimension to your eyes. The first thing I noted about this brush was how soft it was. I like that it's fluffy put still precise.

Most likely, you've heard that the Sigma E45 is a dupe for MAC's 226 brush. The two things that make this brush better are of course the price but also the tips are different. As a makeup artist, I want the best quality for the lowest price for my pro kit. The Sigma E45 also has a pointy tip whereas the MAC 226 is a bit rounded at the tip. I'd prefer the Sigma E45 for a tapered blending brush on myself because of my small eyes.

Do you use a tapered blending brush? If so, which one do you like to use?

Review: Perlier Volcanic Thermal Renewing Body Scrub

Hey beauties! Every since I started Esthetics school, the word spa has a whole new meaning to me. I learn in a spa setting and use spa products all day, scrubs included. Perlier, HSN and iFabbo teamed up to send me this lovely little product.

Scrubs are designed to exfoliate and hydrate your skin while also increasing circulation. You want it to remove the dead skin cells that clog your follicles without being too rough or irritating your skin. Because our face is a lot softer and sensitive than the rest of our body, body scrubs will be a little bit rougher than facial scrubs.

"Much more than just a scrub, it is a true beauty treatment for the body. Various-sized natural minerals deeply stimulate skin regeneration while smoothing out the outer skin. With the energy of volcanic stones, it revives the vital functions of the skin and makes it firm, velvety, more receptive to the following treatments with results comparable to a spa. Massage on moist skin and rinse with fresh water."

Pros:
Fresh Scent
Not harsh like other body scrubs
Plenty of product for use
Contains natural minerals
Jelly-like texture
Had different sized particles for multiple benefits

Cons:
Larger particles might be too rough and dissolve slowly
Nothing thermal or warm about the scrub

I expected a strong and overwhelming smell, mainly because the packaging and color reminds me of icy hot hehe; but the scent was light and refreshing. I enjoyed this scrub, it left my skin feeling a bit smoother and refreshed. I think it'd be nice for an at-home spa evening.

My Rating: 7/10

The Perlier Volcanic Thermal Scrub is 6.7 fl oz (200mL), made in Italy, and can be found on HSN for $25. Use the code iFabbo5 to receive $5 off your purchase.

Review: BH Cosmetics 10 Color Camouflage Concealer Palette

I've tried other concealers, but this my first concealer palette. Even though I'm a huge fan of BH Cosmetics eye shadow palettes, I was indecisive about purchasing this palette for awhile because of the price being extremely affordable. I wanted it to be good quality regardless of the inexpensive price. As an aspiring makeup up artist, I was pretty excited about all the different shades in the palette. I'm actually impressed with the quality of the concealers. The only con I have so far is that I wish there was a light green concealer; then it'd be perfect!

Color Ranges

The colors range from lightest to darkest tones with a few pink/salmon shades perfect for hiding blues such as under eye circles and veins. All of the shades are pretty creamy which is perfect especially for mixing to achieve your perfect shade. You want to make sure you set it with a powder whether it be translucent or a skin-tone shade powder. They're creamy without being too oily; just perfect for dry, oily or combination skin.

Even if you're not an MUA, you could probably find atleast 3 of these shades that could be useful.

1. Skin tone- Cover blemishes
2. Lighter than your skin- highlighting & hiding dark circles
3. Darker than your skin tone- Contouring and adding warmth to your face

I'd suggest, sanitizing your hands first, using your finger to apply the product. This will warm it up, make it easier to blend out and ensure you can get into your tricky spots.  Of course if you're using it on several clients, you'd like to use stainless steel products with the palette. Overall, I'm really impressed and I'm glad I purchased this palette!

Beauty on a Budget Review: Wet n Wild Creme Eyeliner

wet n wild creme eyeliner

I've heard so many good things about this liner, from notable sources might I add. I contemplated purchasing it for about a month. I'm actually really glad I gave it a shot.

I purchased this from CVS, that's right CVS instead of Walgreens. I bought mine for $3.99! I felt almost guilty for doing so lol. The little container on this baby is so adorable. Of course it comes with a little angled brush, which is decent but I still prefer my BH Cosmetics Angled Brush.

The consisentency is alot creamier than most cream formulas I've tried. I just barely put the brush in and picked up a decent amount of product without having to diggg my way into the jar. The payoff is very black, which I love. I believe I've found my holy-grail eyeliner.

Review: BH Cosmetics 88 Color Palette-Neutral Eyeshadow

Happy Monday to all of you beauties reading! I'm so happy to be writing reviews again. I've had the BH Cosmetics 88 Neutral Palette for awhile, not one I thought I'd ever purchase seeing that I'm more of a colorful gal.

bh cosmetics 88 neutral palette

The BH Cosmetics 88 Neutral Palette comes with, of course, 88 shades perfect for a beautiful subtle eye look. Back in 2010 when I first started purchasing BH Cosmetics palettes, they didn't come with an applicator or a mirror. As you can see this one comes with both, making our travel case packing list a little shorter.

The colors in the palette are gorgeous with good pigmentation as with all BH Cosmetics palettes, which I'm a huge fan of. Some of the shadows do have fallout when used without an eyeshadow base. To prevent this, just make sure to tap your brush to remove the excess shadow.

The palette doesn't just have your neutral brown tones. The palette comes with a few pink, orange, green and purple tones..all subtle shades of course.

Overall, I'm really pleased with the palette. I'd also purchase it for some of my (less colorful) family members as a Christmas or birthday gift. Purchase the 88 Color Neutral Palette Here for 45% off!

I used the cleanser/makeup remover and moisturizer for a few nights. My skin was actually noticeably smoother and hydrated, despite my usual extremely dry skin. The products are creamy without being too thick. The samples I received were pretty healthy and I received a few good uses out of each.

The makeup remover/cleanser is super convenient because I didn't have to use multiple products. I feel like it holds up good for both uses. As a makeup remover it removed my mascara, eyeliner and shadow without hard work. I'd definitely purchase these products in full size knowing that they'd get the job done for an affordable price!

MAC Eyeshadow: Ricepaper Review, Photos, Swatches

mac ricepaper eyeshadow

Hey beauties! Today I'm reviewing a MAC permanent eyeshadow in the shade Ricepaper. It's a pretty much known fact that Ricepaper is one of those perfect highlight(brow and tear duct) colors for medium-dark skin tones and a great lid color for lighter tones. Needless to say, I've been eyeing it for awhile. I actually have it on my $1000 wishlist tag so now I can check it off the list!

I wasn't disappointed with the shade at all. Ricepaper is a light, champagne frost eyeshadow. It has a very fine shimmer to it. The pigmentation is gorgeous with pretty good staying power with no fallout. It's applies really smoothly. I'd say it's another staple color you need in your MAC neutral palette.

Jordana Retractable Eye Liners Review, Photos, Swatches

Jordana Retractable Liners

Hello beauties <3 I recently picked up 3 more eyeliners from Jordana which I hauled a few weeks ago. I really loved the shade Bliss so I went back for more. The thing I love most about these babies is their pigmentation or is it their price? Okay TWO things.

In my local Walgreens there weren't many shades to choose from so I went with the boldest shades. There was one more,..., but I didn't care for it..sort of a sewage green ugh. Bliss, Mint and Purple fusion are Jordana EasyLiners for Eyes. Rock on Silver is a Jordana Glitter Rocks EyeLiner.

*No edits done to photos*(Bottom photo came out too dark but notice the pigmentation and glitter with Rock on Silver that didn't show in top photo.)

Pros: Glides on, great pigmentation

Cons: Needs a primer or powder when used on the waterline

Perlier Lemon Crackling Body Water Review + Demo

Hey beauties! Here in Louisiana it's roughly 95 degrees everyday and the humidity is crazy, which it makes it feel 10 degrees hotter! Whether it's a new cold drink recipe or cooling product, I'm always on the lookout for something new for the summer heat.

Perlier Lemon Crackling Body Water

Beat the Heat!
I was recently sent this really cool, literally cool, product from Perlier, the

Lemon Sorbet Crackling Body Water. If rejuvenation came in Lemon form, it'd be this body water. I'm not a fan of Lemon scents, but this scent isn't overpowering. The scent is a very light airy-lemon smell.

Perlier Lemon Crackling Body Water
When life gives you lemons, spray them on your skin!
Spray the body water on your skin and instantly feel cooler. Rub it across your skin and watch it crackle! You can refrigerate it as well to add to the cooling effect. Once I sprayed it on my skin there were no after effects and the only thing different was the cooling effect it left. I tested the product on 3 other people and there were no bad skin reactions.

Basically...
You'd expect a loud-smelling, sticky, residue-leaving product but that's not the case with this product. This wasn't the type of product I thought I'd like but I actually really liked it! I wouldn't use it all the time but for a trip involving the outdoors, I'd just have to take it along.

Brave enough to give it a go?
It's available exclusively on HSN for $24.50. You can visit HSN here to purchase it. Use promo code: IFABBO5 to receive $5 off the product.

Maybelline EyeStudio Color Tattoo "Bad to the Bronze"

Bad to the Bronze

Hey beauties! Welcome to Day 2 of Summer Madness! Lately I've been becoming quite the natural eye girl! I picked up this lovely Color Tattoo in the shade "Bad to the Bronze" from Walgreens

It's a gorgeous deep gold with a hint of shimmer. It's creamy and slides onto my lids with a metallic finish. I know each Color Tattoo shade has it's own life span but this one really lives up to it's 24hr staying power. I use a flat eyeliner blush from elf to apply and smooth it out. Color tattoo's are popularly used as an eyeshadow base but I decided to test it's real durability by applying it without a primer and using it as a single eyeshadow.

Bad to the Bronze

Where to buy: Walgreens,$6.99

Pros: Good Pigmentation, Creamy, Affordable

Cons: Needs to be smoothed out or it'll crease by itself.

Tips: Apply with primer and eye brush.

Dupe for: Benefit- Bronze have more fun, No Pressure
