Milani Rose Powder Blush: Coral Cove

When I first noticed Milani's new Rose Powder Blushes I was elated. Drugstore blushes with such gorgeous detail is hard to come by. Milani brought three shades back from the limited edition release last year. The shade that caught my attention is Coral Cove. I'm trying to step out of my realm and wear other blush colors besides bright pink so this was my first step!

Coral Cove really is a gorgeous shade. My favorite thing about this blush is it's builadble  as I showed above. It can really be built to pop on any skin tone. My con to Coral Cove is that it can come on chalky, making it apply a little patchy if too much is applied at once. It doesn't apply bad enough that it's a regret for me, I'm still pleased with it, though not quite as much as I'm with Milani's Baked Blushes.

BH Cosmetics Rose Blush Duo Review

Hey Beauties! I'm really starting to get into blushes, not just pinks but also the browns and corals. I purchased my first blush from BH Cosmetics and I don't know if I like the blush or the highlight that comes with it better. They are so freaking gorgeous!!

Review: BH Cosmetics 10 Color Camouflage Concealer Palette

I've tried other concealers, but this my first concealer palette. Even though I'm a huge fan of BH Cosmetics eye shadow palettes, I was indecisive about purchasing this palette for awhile because of the price being extremely affordable. I wanted it to be good quality regardless of the inexpensive price. As an aspiring makeup up artist, I was pretty excited about all the different shades in the palette. I'm actually impressed with the quality of the concealers. The only con I have so far is that I wish there was a light green concealer; then it'd be perfect!

Color Ranges

The colors range from lightest to darkest tones with a few pink/salmon shades perfect for hiding blues such as under eye circles and veins. All of the shades are pretty creamy which is perfect especially for mixing to achieve your perfect shade. You want to make sure you set it with a powder whether it be translucent or a skin-tone shade powder. They're creamy without being too oily; just perfect for dry, oily or combination skin.

Even if you're not an MUA, you could probably find atleast 3 of these shades that could be useful.

1. Skin tone- Cover blemishes
2. Lighter than your skin- highlighting & hiding dark circles
3. Darker than your skin tone- Contouring and adding warmth to your face

I'd suggest, sanitizing your hands first, using your finger to apply the product. This will warm it up, make it easier to blend out and ensure you can get into your tricky spots.  Of course if you're using it on several clients, you'd like to use stainless steel products with the palette. Overall, I'm really impressed and I'm glad I purchased this palette!

Review: Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer

smashbox photo finish foundation primer

I've tried a few foundation primers before but never a "high-end" primer. I'm a firm believer in all types of primers so I feel like they're absolutely necessary just to prep and prime (no mac pun intended) your face, eyes, lips etc. In the next month or so I'll definitely be posting a huge informative post on primers.

I applied the primer after my moisturizer and before my foundation just in the T-zone (my preference). This primer made my face feel a lot more smoother than other primers I've tried. The primer has that silky silicone feel and it's colorless. It totally hid those little fine lines and creases that would normally stand out when you get up close and personal once you've applied your foundation. My foundation lasted all day, meaning I didn't have do powder touch ups throughout the day.

Major Ingredients:
Dimethicone
Trisiloxane
Silica
Safflower Seed Extract,
Water
Grape Seed Extract
Cola Acuminata Seed Extract
Camellia Oleifera Leaf Extract

This 60% water-based, oil free primer comes in four separate sizes. Prices range from $10-$50 at Sephora. Overall: I'm inlove with this primer. The only con is the price of course, but some things you have to invest in. I'd definitely use this on clients!

Beauty on a Budget Review: Wet n Wild Creme Eyeliner

wet n wild creme eyeliner

I've heard so many good things about this liner, from notable sources might I add. I contemplated purchasing it for about a month. I'm actually really glad I gave it a shot.

I purchased this from CVS, that's right CVS instead of Walgreens. I bought mine for $3.99! I felt almost guilty for doing so lol. The little container on this baby is so adorable. Of course it comes with a little angled brush, which is decent but I still prefer my BH Cosmetics Angled Brush.

The consisentency is alot creamier than most cream formulas I've tried. I just barely put the brush in and picked up a decent amount of product without having to diggg my way into the jar. The payoff is very black, which I love. I believe I've found my holy-grail eyeliner.

Review: BH Cosmetics Take me to Brazil Eyeshadow Palette

I love writing reviews. I think they're a great way to start off the week. I purchased this palette literally four days ago and it arrived today. Is that amazing shipping or what? BH Cosmetics orders used to take 7-10 days to arrive to my house, so A+ for BH Cosmetics. If you've been around my blog for more than a month, you know I've been faithful to this brand since 2010.

On to the Review
Wow, was my first impression. If you know me, you know I am a colorful girl and that's exactly what this palette is. Inspired by Brazil's most famous carnival, there are 28 vivid colors; excluding the two black and white shadows making this a one-of-a-kind 30 color palette.

What makes this palette different is..
  • Gorgeous artwork actually on the palette opposed to the usual artwork on the outside box while the palette packaging itself is plain black.
  • Has a fair share of both shimmer and matte shades.
  • Contains not just the vivids; but a large black and iridescent white perfect for highlighting, lining and creating a smokey eye.
I was definitely not disappointed with this palette, as usual with BH Cosmetics. Some of the shadows are slightly chalky making them easily blendable. I got minimal fall out which was one of the cons I had about BH Cosmetics eyeshadows. I'd give an A+.

Swatches
When I swatched with my fingertaps, the color payoff was amazing. Except, it dawned on me swatching fingertaps only work on a video. Nonetheless, the color payoff on the back of my hand was still pretty good. I can just see how well the colors will pop when used with a white base--ahh!

Review: BH Cosmetics 88 Color Palette-Neutral Eyeshadow

Happy Monday to all of you beauties reading! I'm so happy to be writing reviews again. I've had the BH Cosmetics 88 Neutral Palette for awhile, not one I thought I'd ever purchase seeing that I'm more of a colorful gal.

bh cosmetics 88 neutral palette

The BH Cosmetics 88 Neutral Palette comes with, of course, 88 shades perfect for a beautiful subtle eye look. Back in 2010 when I first started purchasing BH Cosmetics palettes, they didn't come with an applicator or a mirror. As you can see this one comes with both, making our travel case packing list a little shorter.

The colors in the palette are gorgeous with good pigmentation as with all BH Cosmetics palettes, which I'm a huge fan of. Some of the shadows do have fallout when used without an eyeshadow base. To prevent this, just make sure to tap your brush to remove the excess shadow.

The palette doesn't just have your neutral brown tones. The palette comes with a few pink, orange, green and purple tones..all subtle shades of course.

Overall, I'm really pleased with the palette. I'd also purchase it for some of my (less colorful) family members as a Christmas or birthday gift. Purchase the 88 Color Neutral Palette Here for 45% off!

MAC Eyeshadow: Ricepaper Review, Photos, Swatches

mac ricepaper eyeshadow

Hey beauties! Today I'm reviewing a MAC permanent eyeshadow in the shade Ricepaper. It's a pretty much known fact that Ricepaper is one of those perfect highlight(brow and tear duct) colors for medium-dark skin tones and a great lid color for lighter tones. Needless to say, I've been eyeing it for awhile. I actually have it on my $1000 wishlist tag so now I can check it off the list!

I wasn't disappointed with the shade at all. Ricepaper is a light, champagne frost eyeshadow. It has a very fine shimmer to it. The pigmentation is gorgeous with pretty good staying power with no fallout. It's applies really smoothly. I'd say it's another staple color you need in your MAC neutral palette.

Jordana Retractable Eye Liners Review, Photos, Swatches

Jordana Retractable Liners

Hello beauties <3 I recently picked up 3 more eyeliners from Jordana which I hauled a few weeks ago. I really loved the shade Bliss so I went back for more. The thing I love most about these babies is their pigmentation or is it their price? Okay TWO things.

In my local Walgreens there weren't many shades to choose from so I went with the boldest shades. There was one more,..., but I didn't care for it..sort of a sewage green ugh. Bliss, Mint and Purple fusion are Jordana EasyLiners for Eyes. Rock on Silver is a Jordana Glitter Rocks EyeLiner.

*No edits done to photos*(Bottom photo came out too dark but notice the pigmentation and glitter with Rock on Silver that didn't show in top photo.)

Pros: Glides on, great pigmentation

Cons: Needs a primer or powder when used on the waterline

MAC RiRi Woo Lipstick Review, Photos, Swatches, Dupes.

RiRi Woo Lipstick
MAC ClaimsRihanna loves M∙A∙C. The global superstar with style-blazing looks as diverse as her musical hits needs no introduction. Neither does RiRi Woo - our cult classic shade Ruby Woo remixed with a bit of RiRi edge.

Some say it sold out within the first 3 hours but from my own personal conversations, it was already unobtainable after one hour of being released. I set my alarm to wake up 15 minutes before it was released and I was already in the online queue. The site was having major crash issues, thanks to us MAC girls/boys plus the die-hard Rihanna fans! I sat on the waiting page for about 20 minutes for MAC to take me to my cart. Finally 50 minutes after it was released, my lipstick was secured. RiRi Woo will be re-released on June 18th 2013 with the rest of the Summer Rihanna Hearts Mac Collection. The collection is supposed to be online only while the other two seasonal collections will be available online and in-store.

RiRi Woo Lipstick
RiRi Woo is a matte cool red lipstick. The lipstick comes with RiRi Woo engraved in to the lipstick. I'm not a huge fan of Matte lipsticks but this one I actually like. It pulls on the lips but the finish is gorgeous. This one is a little more different because it's a Retro Matte but your lips don't feel super dry as they would with other matte lipsticks.

If you've read any other review on MAC's RiRi Woo, I'm pretty sure you know that it's very similar to Ruby Woo and most would say there's no need to own both. Though, Rihanna said she purposely wanted her shade to be designed with her favorite shade, ruby woo, in mind.

Wet n Wild Color Icon Trio: I Dream of Greenie Photos, Review, Swatches

Wet N Wild Eyeshadow Trio

Wet n Wild says: Coordinating trio shades takes the guesswork out of creating the perfect eye look. The "how to" palettes are created to highlight, define, and accentuate specific eye colors to create unique looks.

I own 2 out of 12 trios from the color icon trio collection the other one being "Knock On Wood". Colorful drugstore eye shadows don't really interest me but once again I was in Walgreens and I snooped my way to the makeup just because I saw a lot of tags hanging down from products. With that being said my Walgreens is having a great sale on random products and this trio is one of them. I don't know if every location is doing this but a lot of items are marked down by several dollars. The trio's were a dollar off so I just decided to give this a shot.

Price: $3.00 Walgreens

Wet N Wild Eyeshadow Trio Wet N Wild Eyeshadow Trio

The trio contains a lid color, crease and brow bone color. The lid color is a gorgeous chartreuse, crease is more of a greenish teal and the brow color is pearl with a bit of green shimmer. I was satisfied with the colors except the brow bone shows no hint of green on skin so it appears white..which makes it pretty much useless in the trio.

The colors are more pigmentated then you'd expect. The crease color shows up the best. The shadows are pretty shimmery and there's a bit of fall out. To decrease fall out, use a primer and tap brush to remove excess shadow. A primer is completely necessary unless you want to literally dig into the shadows multiple times.

Would I repurchase? Yes, I'd like to own a few more of these trio's. They're fun, compact and really easy to use!

MAC Sounds Like Noise Lipstick Review, Photos, Swatches

MAC Sounds Like Noise Lipstick

MAC Claims: "Colour plus texture for the lips that made M·A·C famous. Limited-edition shade of Sounds Like Noise, a true bright orange inspired by Hayley Williams."

MAC Sounds Like noise is honestly a true orange. It doesn't have those red undertones that other MAC lipsticks have like Morange & Neon Orange. I love this lip color. It's totally bright and unlike my last purchase, Violetta, the tube color is the same color you'll get on your lips.

Wet N Wild Megalast Liquid Lip Color Review, Photos & Swatches

I'm becoming a major fan of Wet N Wild lip products lately. I purchased the Mega Last Liquid Lip Color at my local drugstore. I thought it was a gloss so I had no idea what I was getting myself into. As it turns out, I purchased a lip stain or liquid lipstick.

The product glides on pretty smoothly and moisturizing BUT it dries on your lips. It feels strange and dry on your lips but you'll notice your lips aren't actually dry. The lippy does leave a bit of shine despite it's matte finish.
